Battery's used in the model world are mostly rechargeable ,like Nickel-Metal Hybrid  which has a voltage of 1,2 volt per cell , or Nickel-Cadmium with also 1,2 volt per cell , but these cell will disappear, because they bad for milieu.

The advantage of Li-PO battery's , they have a bigger capacity by a lower weight , can give a high current , and they are to charge in shorter time

For changing the best way to do this is with a computer controlled changer with balance facility.
